Aspettavo di parlare molto in italiano.

Ho parlato molto per una settimana. Mi sembra che sono più confortabile a parlare anche se non sono ancora a un livello sufficiente per parlare con italiani fuori della scuola

Tutto stato bene. Se devo dire qualcosa l'orario di 11 alle 3 non è il meglio perchè non c'è molto tempo per il pranzo e è più difficile scoprire la città in parallelo dei lezioni, ma è veramente una piccola cosa e so che è difficile organizzare cose per tutti. Magari era meglio per la mia dieta.

Refresh my Italian before an extended stay in Bologna

I was (very slightly) disappointed that there was little availability of apartments for sole occupancy.

I was in a higher level class. From a personal perspective, and from comments made by others, it would have been good to read more texts/extracts and then to analyse them for grammar and discussion. Ideally, reading a book in class would have been great, but I recognise that with the turnover of students that would be very difficult to organise.

The opportunity to ask questions about gaps in knowledge from experienced and excellent teachers (I would mention Maria and Giuliana in particular, without meaning to suggest that the other teachers were not also highly competent) was truly valuable.

I expected a intensive four week course. However I did not have a precise idea of what the school will be like.

It was intense 🙂

When I studied languages at school in Switzerland, the classes were way more structured. It was the first time for me to study a language like this but I enjoyed it.

- to learn to speak Italian, to have more "courage" to speak
- to learn more grammar
- to meat Italian speaking people
- to have a good and nice contact with other students
- to see more of Bologna

It was really very nice. The administration, the teachers and mr. Massimo were very friendly and helpfull.
The activities were nice: I did like the walk in the town with the visit in the oldest bar/café Il Sole. Also the walk in the mountains and the cooking courses were nice.

Just a detail: It would be nice if the computers in the classroom would hang less high, so that you don't have to put your head so high.

Quello che mi piaceva di meno erano le lezioni dalle 11.15 alle 15.00...

Magari fai venire un tuttofare per qualche riparazione qua e là... 😉

My expectations weren't high. I thought it would only be young people who wanted to party, so the learning effect would be minimal.

The expectations were exceeded. Besonders toll fand ich, dass uns die Angst vor dem Sprechen genommen und nicht auf Fehler hingewiesen wurde. I had great teachers in Stefania and Maria.

Die Klassen waren recht gross und die Räume klein.

I hoped to get to B1 level and to meet new people and to have fun at the classea

I learned way more than I had hoped. I nearly learnt alle the grammar and I am now at B2 !
I had a lot of fun at the classes. I had classes with Marco, Giuliana und Stefania and they were amazing und made the classes very fun und helpful!!
Also the afternoon grammar was very helpful!

Although I enjoyed the passeggiatas I think the afternoon program could vary a little more. Like doing more often to do sports or do other activities. 🙂
