Preparation to CELI and CILS

Cultura Italiana is accredited by Foreigners University of Siena, for preparation for CILS examinations.

What is CILS?

CILS is an official educational qualification, which attests the degree of competence linguistic-communicative in Italian as L2. It is usable for finding a job, in order to teach Italian, or to apply to Italian Universities, or generally in any circle, where a certificated level of Italian language competence is requested. The Ministry of University and Research recognizes CILS as certification for non-European students admissions: non-European students with the CILS 2 –B2 certification are exempt of having to take the Italian language exam. CILS Italian language exams Bologna, Italy The Certificate of Italian as a Foreign Language exams (CILS) are organised by the University of Siena for Foreigners and the certificates are recognised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This exam is offered at six different levels, each consisting of tests of listening,reading,writing, speaking, and grammar/vocabulary. You must pass each section of the exam to be awarded the certificate.

CILS Levels

There are six levels, corresponding to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Levels A1 and A2 are for "basic speakers", levels B1 and B2 for "independent speakers", and levels C1 and C2 for "proficient speakers".

How to enrol for CILS

Just fill the application form and pay the course fee. You should register for the exam and pay the fee at least 50 days before the exam date. When you enrol, please send us a copy of your passport or identity card, that should be attached to your enrollment form. Here below you will find our bank details in order to do the bank transfer:

How to prepare for CILS exam

Our courses to prepare for CILS exam are as follows: classes are made up of small group (1-5 people), and lessons take place twice a week.
The duration of each lesson depends on the number of students in a group:
2 hours: 4-5 people
1 ½ hours: 2-3 people
1 hour: 1 person
