The School of Arezzo

Cultura Italiana is a centre of activity devoted to promoting Italian culture, including that of modern Italy.

Cultura Italiana Arezzo works in cooperation with various institutions such as city authorities. The school organizes Italian language courses and study-holidays of two, three, four or more weeks with an extracurricular programme. The School is the only one in Arezzo of its kind specialising exclusively in teaching Italian to foreigners. There are 6 teachers working at Cultura Italiana Arezzo. All are experienced graduates, with a qualification in teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. The average number of students is about 30 (65% European, 16% American, 14% Asian, 4% Australian, 0.2% African). There are 10 different levels, with 6-8 different classes, depending on the number of students.
The school is located in the centre of the medieval city.

The size of the school and the town is ideal for learning: there are 92,000 inhabitants. It is one of the most beautiful towns in Tuscany along with Florence, Siena, but never crowded with groups of tourists who usually prefer a visit to the more striking Renaissance and Baroque cities. The lifestyle is still typical of the region. You can stay quietly in Arezzo, in beautiful Tuscany, and after school you can visit Florence (just 45 minutes away by train) and be back home in Arezzo for an exquisite Italian dinner. Much better to be in Arezzo away from the tourists - and it costs half the price! Arezzo is an ideal place to learn Italian. It is easy to make contact with the people in this city because there are not so many foreigners than in Florence. Arezzo is a town of Etruscan origins, whose beauty has not yet been discovered by mass tourism.
